Moshe - they saw you at DMV? Now they're going to start a big conspiracy theory rumor that the government is spying on them.
You my friend win the big swingin' award. You are the Les Grossman of former JWs
For anyone who doesn't know who Les Grossman is - it is Moshe!
Here is Moshe caught on video calling his local kingdom hall:

A lot of Witnesses will be saying that Jehovah had a hand in this. I hope they do say that. A nice discussion with JWs could stem from the idea of how important freedom of expression is to Jehovah. Try this line "You know, Jehovah actually blessed Russia and Europe with this ruling. He must really think it's important in this time period for all humans to have freedom of religous expression without repercussions. Can you imagine what it would have been like for Russians to have lived in fear of expressing their religious beliefs? I wonder though, if a person that is a Jehovah's Witness disagrees with just one or two doctrines taught in the watchtower - would they be allowed to peacefully express that viewpoint, without any repercussions in the organization?"

It's also good news for Vodka retailers near the Moscow kingdom halls and branch.

I personally am very glad it turned out this way. Despite the fact that the Watchtower doesn't give its own constituents the same freedom of speech, there's no point in the ECHR allowing JWs to mess it up for the rest of Russia.

ECHR defends religious freedom
Court confirms that Moscow ban on Jehovah’s Witnesses was illegal
STRASBOURG, France—The European Court of Human Rights ruled to protect religious freedom in Russia when it rendered its June 10, 2010, judgment in Jehovah’s Witnesses of Moscow v. Russia . Russia referred the case to the Grand Chamber of the European Court on September 9, 2010, but on December 13, 2010, the panel of the Grand Chamber announced its rejection of Russia’s bid to have the case reviewed. The original ECHR ruling to protect free worship is now final.
It was the final ruling in a case that has been examined by various courts for about 15 years. During the 1990s, four criminal cases were opened against Jehovah’s Witnesses. Each time, however, the cases were terminated because Jehovah’s Witnesses were found not guilty of breaking the law. In an attempt to liquidate the Moscow Community of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a civil suit was then filed with the Golovinsky District Court. In 2001, that suit was dismissed. However, when the case was appealed, the appeal court ordered a retrial, and three years later the Golovinsky District Court handed down the decision to ban the activity of the religious Community in Moscow. Jehovah’s Witnesses appealed that decision to the European Court. In its June 10 decision, the European Court unanimously declared that the rights of the community of 10,000 believers in Moscow had been grossly violated, and it ruled that individual and general measures be adopted “to redress so far as possible the effects” of the ban.
Vasily Kalin, the Chairman of the Administrative Center of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia, states: “The expression ‘general . . . measures’ indicates that the Court expects that Russia will do more than just pay the damages and restore the legal status of the Community.” Kalin added: “The Russian Minister of Justice recently underscored Russia’s obligation to implement the effective judgments of the European Court. We hope that now our fellow believers in Moscow and throughout Russia will be able to practice their faith peacefully.”

Wow Justitia hit the nail on the head and brought some balance to this discussion.
Can you imagine, living in a time period where many surrounding nations around the world had made great progress in gender reform - things like giving women rights to vote, and own property, and seek independent careers on an equal level with men - and to have been treated like Joan of Arc?!! Oh wait - that was 1431 - the world wasn't that way then. Still, lets compare what happened to women over 500 years ago in just about any religion, with what still happens all the time in one religion today. That way - people won't think so bad about muslims.

The Tetragrammaton...And The Inserted Vowels
by titch infor any and all persons who may have been associated with jehovah's witnesses in the past (or currently), you have probably read, or heard information about the origin of the name "jehovah.
" as explained by witnesses, and even other religious groups, the name jehovah is merely the anglicized (or, english-language) version of the so-called "divine name.
" the thinking is that in the original hebrew language, the "divine name" was originally represented by these four english consonants: jhvh; some persons think that it might have been yhvh.

Or you could ask Christ, or God, for yourself.
Did that - more than you could ever imagine, with as much sincerity as anyone on this board has ever done.
Answer everytime was twofold:
1) First and foremost - silence/nothing/
2) a persistent and nagging voice that told me that anyone who continued to ask the void the same thing over and over, hoping to hear what he had been predisposed to believe from his religous/cultural background would eventually hear what he wanted to hear. By that time it would be too late. He would never believe that a mental chemical imbalance that gave him the answers his subconscious mind projected, was just that - a hallucination. One that likely a person could get treatment for, but he or she never would.
PS - don't bother telling me that I didn't do it right or enough or some other bs - makes you sound worse than a JW.

Hah! I told you factfinder - Ask and ye shall receive!
Man I should've placed some bets.
Are you in the right place at the right time or what?!!
To think - the only way anyone could possibly know the correct pronounciation of God is to 1) Become a JW then 2) Become a former JW 3) then come to this specialized interenet board (hopefully you speak english). Now that is one amazing way that God reveals his name.
